Open any Hajj brochure and you will meet the word “Azizia” — usually with a nights count and little else. Since pilgrims often spend more nights there than in any hotel, it deserves a proper explanation.
Azizia is a residential district of Makkah, a few kilometres from the Haram and close to the road toward Mina. During the Hajj season its buildings house hundreds of thousands of pilgrims — it is where the world actually stays for the days around the rites. A package’s “Azizia stay” means furnished rooms in one of these buildings, not a hotel by the Haram.
Taking our own programmes as the reference (the details printed on every package page):
Simple arithmetic: hotel rooms beside the Haram during Hajj week are the most expensive nights on earth (the whole premise of non-shifting packages). Azizia is how a complete, comfortable Hajj stays affordable — it is the backbone of every package from our SAR 23,000 Value tier up to Executive, and the reason those prices are possible.
How far is Azizia from the Haram?
A few kilometres — a short shuttle or taxi ride, not a walk in the Makkah heat. Plan your Haram visits in blocks rather than back-and-forth trips.
Is Azizia used outside the Hajj days?
Yes — most itineraries place Azizia nights before and after the five days in Mina; some value programmes base the whole Makkah stay there. The Maktab guide explains how the pieces fit.
Can couples or families get private rooms in Azizia?
Separate Azizia rooms are available on many programmes at a stated supplement — ours print those prices in the package’s pricing tab, so the upgrade is a number, not a negotiation.
Every Farazm package states its Azizia arrangement plainly — compare them here, or ask us on WhatsApp.
