Umrah Visa Requirements for Pakistani Citizens: The Complete Checklist

By Farazm Travel · Updated 21 August 2026 · 3 min read

The Umrah eVisa is, on paper, a simple application. In practice, small document errors cause most delays — a photo on the wrong background, a passport too close to expiry, a name spelled differently across documents. Here is the working checklist our visa team uses for Pakistani applicants, and the honest notes on what changes season to season.

The core documents

  • Passport — with validity comfortably beyond your travel dates. The exact minimum is set by the authorities and checked per season; we confirm the current requirement at application rather than publishing a number that may drift.
  • Photograph — a recent passport-style photo on a light background; face uncovered and clearly visible. The single most common rejection-trigger we fix before submission.
  • CNIC copies — for identity verification alongside the passport.
  • Travel details — intended dates and, for some application types, confirmed accommodation and return travel.
  • Contact details that match your documents — name spelling consistency across everything matters more than applicants expect.

What changes season to season

Two things you should never trust a static webpage on, ours included: vaccination requirements (announced by the Saudi Ministry of Health per season) and any age- or profile-specific rules. We confirm both as current with every application — it is part of what the service is.

Can women apply without a mahram?

Current Saudi policy permits women to perform Umrah without a mahram, commonly travelling in group company — a significant change from earlier years. The rules are set by the authorities and we verify the current position at booking; the fiqh dimension of a woman’s travel remains between her and her scholar. Our own departures include female guides as standard — more in our women’s pilgrimage FAQ.

How the application actually flows

  1. You send the documents above on WhatsApp or through the visa page form.
  2. Our team verifies everything before submission — the step that prevents the classic delays.
  3. We submit through the official Nusuk-linked channel and track it; straightforward cases are often approved in as little as 24 hours (the authorities decide the timing — which is why we say as little as, not always).
  4. You receive the eVisa and can track status any time with your reference on our visa page.

Frequently asked questions

Do children need their own visa?
Yes — every traveller, including infants, applies with their own documents alongside the family. Tell us ages and the checklist adjusts.

What if my passport expires soon?
Renew first. Applying against a near-expiry passport is the most avoidable delay in the entire process.

Is the visa included in Umrah packages?
Yes — every Farazm Umrah package includes eVisa processing; the standalone service exists for travellers arranging other elements themselves.

Send your documents for a free pre-check on WhatsApp — we’ll tell you honestly if anything will cause a problem before any fee is paid.

Need the visa processed?

Send a photo of the passport data page and we check it before submission.
